Mammillaria Spinosisima un Pico

Mammillaria Spinosissima 'Un Pico' – 12cm Pot

A fantastic addition for cactus lovers! The Mammillaria Spinosissima 'Un Pico' is a distinctive columnar cactus with a lovely upright growth habit and dense covering of fine, reddish-brown spines. Its striking appearance makes it an interesting feature plant for a sunny windowsill or cactus collection.

As it matures, this cactus can produce beautiful pink flowers around the crown, creating a lovely contrast against its spiny green body.

Plant care:

- Light: Loves bright light and plenty of sunshine. A sunny windowsill is ideal.

- Watering: Water during the growing season, allowing the compost to dry out completely between waterings.

- Winter care: Keep much drier during the cooler months.

- Soil: Requires a free-draining cactus or succulent compost.

- Temperature: Prefers warmth and must be protected from frost.

- Difficulty: Relatively easy to care for, making it a great choice for cactus enthusiasts and beginners alike.

A little plant fact: Mammillaria is one of the largest cactus genera, with hundreds of recognised species. Many are loved for their beautiful ring-like flowers that appear around the top of the plant.

A lovely characterful cactus that brings a touch of desert charm to your plant collection!

Please take care when handling, as the spines can be sharp.
