Pineapple plant

The pineapple plant, or Ananas comosus, is a tropical bromeliad known for producing the sweet pineapple fruit. It's a hardy, attractive plant with spiky leaves that can be grown indoors as a quirky houseplant. Unfortunately we do not have the correct climate in the UK to grow these to the ripeness to eat. The mother plant will produce "babies" that can be re-planted and grown on.
